Collection: Vintage Pheasant Art Prints | Framed Grouse Wall Decor

Sporting-bird pictures have hung in gun rooms and farmhouse hallways for well over a century, and the appeal has not changed much: a cock pheasant breaking from cover is one of the few subjects that looks as good over a desk as it does over a fireplace.

This collection gathers ring-necked pheasants, ruffed grouse and other upland birds — some in flushed flight, some at rest in stubble and hedgerow, painted in the warm, slightly smoky palette of the old sporting plates. They sit naturally alongside hunting dogs and waterfowl, and they suit a room with wood in it: a study, a lodge, a landing, a den that wants one good picture rather than a gallery wall.

Printed on archival matte fine-art paper and framed in Kentucky, then shipped ready to hang. Available from 5x7 up to 24x36 inches, unframed or framed in solid oak — black, walnut, white or natural — or slim metal.

Questions buyers ask

What size works over a desk or in a hallway?

An 11x14 or 16x20 reads well at close quarters. Over a mantel or a sofa, step up to 24x18 or larger so the bird holds the wall.

Which frame suits a pheasant print?

Walnut and black oak are the usual choices — both pick up the browns and russets in the plumage. Natural oak lifts a lighter, brighter print.

Is this the same tradition as antique sporting prints?

The style follows it. These are new artworks made in the spirit of the classic upland plates, not reproductions of specific antique originals.
